It is said that knowledge is the supreme virtue. The shaastra have been considered the first source of knowledge in the Puranas. The power of knowledge is no less than any weapon. The works which can be done by shaastra cannot be done by any power or weapon. Practical knowledge is gained from the shaastra in life.
All that knowledge related to a specific subject or material group, which has been collected and kept in the right order, is called Shaastra. For example, Physics, Vastu Shastra, Shilpashastra, Zoology, Economics, Electricity, Botany etc.
The characters of Trishastra got astra with their birth and got shastra with age and increasing knowledge but Shaastra, it is the knowledge which has no shape or form but still it can change the shape and form of any war. It is also important to have knowledge of shaastra along with any magic and weapon.
Shaastra has been considered first of all weapons. Because the use of weapons can be learned but without scriptures one cannot differentiate between right and wrong. With whom to support and with whom not, with whom to fight or for whom all this can be brought into character only by the shaastra. Even the knowledge of how to use weapons first is also obtained from the shaastra.
The characters of the stories of Trishaastra will adopt the scriptures to learn weapons. But how to use which shaastra will depend on that character. Shastra will first make the character get knowledge and then weapons. Together these three make up the Trishaastra. Where a right relation of astra, shastra and shaastra will have the power to change the behaviour of any character and the theme of whole story.
Come let us understand the stories of the Trishastras closely. And know what powers the weapons, weapons and scriptures have given to their characters.
